Community
Saint Luke has partnered with some local organization to help support
the body and spirt of those in need.
St. Matthew’s Food Drive &
Itasca Food Pantry
This inner-city congregation and soup kitchen is the recipient of Saint Luke’s monthly and Thanksgiving food collections. Saint Luke also collects twice a year non perishable food items for the Itasca Food Pantry.
Youth Mission Trip
This week long trip is dedicated to serve, grow in faith and also make new friends! Each year during the summer the youth group transform houses, porches, and lives in the communities they serve.
St. Matthew’s Toy Drive
Every year during the months of November and December Saint Luke collects gifts and toys for children and teenagers from low income families across Chicago.
Meal Train
Our Meal Train Ministry has been created for new moms, people going through illness, surgery and more. Our purpose is for families to feel the love and presence of our Saint Luke family by providing some home-cooked meals for families to enjoy.
College & Military
Valentine Care Packages is one of the ways we extend God’s love and appreciation to our military personnel and college students. Every January candy, school supplies, letters, cards and more are collected and mailed out to students and members of the armed forces all around the world.
Saint Luke Families participate at FMSC & KAH a few times a year. Volunteers have the opportunity to pack meals that will feed people in impoverished countries and help improve their lives. Event last about two hours.
Seniors in our Community
School children visit our local nursery home and make handwritten greeting cards for its residents.
P.A.D.S. (Public Action To Deliver Shelter)
Program to provide food and shelter to the homeless. Saint Luke staffs the PADS site on the 4th Tuesday of each month from October through May.
