CHRISTmas is just around the corner and what a wonderful time of the year for children! For many years, St. Luke has collected gifts (babies through teens), for St. Matthew’s, our sister church in Chicago, serving a large Hispanic community. After their Christmas eve service, gifts are passed out to all the children. These gifts will probably be the only gift they will receive.
Saint Luke will be collecting gifts until Wednesday, December 18th. Please bring one or more new gifts, wrapped and marked ‘Girl’ or ‘Boy’, with an appropriate age. Any gifts requiring batteries, please include them in your wrapping. All monetary gifts should be made out to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and brought into the parish office no later than Wednesday, December 18th. Presents can be dropped off in the wooden box by the school entrance. This year, delivery will be made on Thursday, December 19th.
Thank you for your support and God bless you for bringing joy to the children of St. Matthews!
